After spending my share of time navigating the corners of these systems, I found that often the right infrastructure isn't in place to protect dreams and support ambition. Whether it's a child in the child welfare system whose rights aren't being protected in rooms they're not in. A parent who can't step away because they can't find care as good as their own. Or a young executive whose authority goes unacknowledged in rooms they are leading.
In all scenarios, people are being asked to show up fully — without the tools to do so.
